Mr. Rossi received a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a major
in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics from Youngstown
State University (Youngstown, Ohio) in 1981 and a Juris Doctor
degree from George Washington University (Washington, DC) in 1987.
Mr. Rossi
was employed as a manufacturing engineer for Eastman Kodak Company,
Medical Products Instrumentation Group in Rochester, New York
(1981-1984), and was responsible for the final line integration
of all electrical, electronic, optical & mechanical subsystems
of the Ektachem 400 Blood Chemistry Analyzer. Mr. Rossi was also
responsible for software integration and microprocessor systems
analysis for the Ektachem 700 Blood Chemistry Analyzer.
Mr.
Rossi was subsequently selected by corporate management for Eastman
Kodak Company’s corporate patent attorney training program,
and worked in the Eastman Kodak Company Patent Department (1984-1987)
as a registered patent agent while attending law school at George
Washington University in Washington, D.C. After leaving Eastman
Kodak Company, Mr. Rossi held an associate position at the firm
of Foley & Lardner (1987-1989) and Lowe, Price, LeBlanc, Becker
& Shur (1989-1990) prior to becoming a founding partner of the
firm Parkhurst, Wendel & Rossi (1990-1995). Mr. Rossi withdrew
from the firm of Parkhurst, Wendel & Rossi to found the firm
of Rossi & Associates (1996-2004) prior to joining with Mr.
Kimms and Ms. McDowell to form the firm of Rossi, Kimms & McDowell
LLP.
Mr.
Rossi has an extensive technical background in areas including electronics,
electro-optics & mechanics, semiconductor devices & manufacturing
processes, electronic imaging systems, computer software, memory
devices, magnetic & optic recording media and systems, optical
computers, video recording, television & audio systems, electrostatic
imaging systems, facsimile systems, telephone switching networks,
mobile & cellular telephones, image processing, automotive systems
(particularly engine controls, transmissions, braking systems &
chassis design), computer simulation & modeling, space flight
technology, information technology systems, acoustics, plasma science,
general mechanics, and is the holder of four United States patents.
Mr.
Rossi is currently a member in good standing of the Virginia Bar
and the District of Columbia Bar, is admitted to practice in the
U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. District
Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. District Court
of the District of Columbia, and the Supreme Court of Virginia,
and is registered to practice before the United States Patent &
Trademark Office as a Registered Patent Attorney. |
